For the first time in the school’s history, a choral ensemble (Forte) was selected out of over 100 groups from across the state to perform at the OMEA Conference in Columbus in 2014.
Forte won the 2012 Voices in Harmony Competition in Lexington, Kentucky against twelve groups regionally.
Forte opened for the world-renowned The House Jacks (recently seen performing the Monday Night Football theme).
Forte won regional ICHSA (International Championships of High School A Cappella) in 2012 and 2013, 2015.
Forte placed second in the ICHSA Nationals in New York City against the top ten high school groups in the country in 2012, 2013, and 2015.
Forte’s VP (vocal percussionist), Charlie Arthur, won best high school VP in the country at ICHSA finals in New York City in 2013. Justin Crichfield just won that honor in 2015.
Forte has performed for/with grammy winners, Kirstin Maldonado, Andy Grammer, Pentatonix, Sonos, The House Jacks, Delilah, Overboard, and Deke Sharon, music director of The Sing-Off and the movie Pitch Perfect.
Members of Forte have performed in Chicago, Disney, Lexington, Nashville and New York City.
